Christian Science was introduced...
Christian Science was introduced to me at a time when I was spiritually starved, despite the fact that I had belonged to an orthodox church for eighteen years. I was led to pay an initial call upon a woman who had moved into our neighborhood three months earlier. She invited me to attend the Wednesday evening testimony meeting, and out of curiosity I went. Upon attending the Sunday services also, I recognized Christian Science as the only food that would satisfy my hunger, and began at once to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.
Although my first need was for spiritual enlightenment, I soon found many opportunities to prove the healing power of this Science when applied to false concepts and discordant physical conditions. I shall never cease to he grateful for these early proofs in small ways, for they helped me to higher proofs.
