CAN YE NOT WATCH?

Awake! Awake! The hour is late;     Can ye not watch?The hosts of death in ambush wait;     Arise and watch!Look up! Behold, the path is brightWith angels waiting through the nightTo guide you into Truth's clear light,     If you but watch.

The flesh is weak, but Spirit strong     To aid your watch;And Truth annuls the power of wrong     For those who watch.Sleep dulls men's eyes, at what a price!Think of your Saviour's sacrifice;Pray lest your fears deny him thrice.     Pray and watch.
