For more than twenty-five years...
For more than twenty-five years I had suffered mentally and physically and had submitted to many so-called life or death operations. I was finally told by the medical profession that nothing more could be done for me. The trouble at that time was a partial obstruction of the intestines as the result of operations.
About eight years ago a friend lent me a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. When this book was handed to me I was advised to study it quietly and carefully. This I did, and I soon realized that it indeed contained the healing truth. In a very short time I was completely well.
This is only one of many healings I have experienced through the study and application of Christian Science, for which I am humbly grateful. I am also grateful to be a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church.— (Mrs.) Emma D. Godfrey, Washington, District of Columbia.
