Since 1918 I have been a student of Christian Science, and it has always been a comfort and help in sickness and trouble of any kind. When I had been studying for a few weeks, an opportunity came for me to test the efficacy of this Science. My little son was taken ill with a fever. I at once asked a practitioner for treatment, and I am grateful to say he was entirely healed in a few hours. To conform to the laws of the land a doctor examined him and stated that he had had all the symptoms of scarlet fever, but was quite healed.

The first time I read the chapter on Prayer in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was instantaneously healed of a severe cold and troublesome cough. I was also healed of fractured ribs sustained through a fall a few years ago. I am very grateful to the practitioner for his loving help. I was able to take my place as usher for a lecture on Christian Science two weeks after the accident occurred. For this beautiful truth, my gratitude is unbounded.

I should like to tell of an experience which took place in the spring of 1944. One night after my husband and I had retired we heard much confusion outside. He got up at once, for he was in the Civil Defence, and went out. Hundreds of incendiaries were dropping all around in our village and for some miles away.
