God Is Love

CATHARINA DE GOEDE DE KONING

Can I live in sin and sorrow
With Thy truth on every side?
Can I meet a dark tomorrow
When Thy wisdom is my guide?
God is Love, forever near.
God is Love. What shall I fear?

Can I build on false foundations
With Thy love as staff and rod?
Can I dwell in desolations
When my life is hid in God?
God is Love, forever near.
God is Love. What shall I fear?

Everlasting arms are round me,
Father, as Thy perfect son.
Error's darts cannot confound me;
I shall stand till I have won.
God is Love, forever near.
God is Love. There is no fear.
