Knowing God is not our discovery; it is His revelation of Himself. The power that finally holds us is not our grasp of Him; it is His grasp of us. The power is in Him. When we can do nothing else, the secret of stability is to rest back on Him and let Him hold us. It is to be still and know that He is God. It is to be quiet enough to hear His whisper in the heart.
