Christian Science Committee on Publication for Northern California Reports

The purpose of all our corrective publicity is to heal and enlighten.

A statement correctly defining Christian Science has been supplied to the author of a Social Workers' Dictionary to replace an inaccurate statement in previous editions. The author has agreed to use the correct material when he publishes a new issue of his book.

The book "Health. Hygiene and Hooey," which contains several pages of objectionable subject matter regarding Christian Science, is on the shelves of many school libraries. Effort has been made to inform school authorities of the inaccuracy of this material, and in a tactful manner to solicit their aid in having the book removed from lists of required reference works. In one school district the superintendent, after being made acquainted with the facts, voluntarily ordered the book removed from all school libraries under his jurisdiction. He also canceled an order that was pending for a new supply of the books.
