Our family has had many proofs of God's care since taking up the study of Christian Science nearly twenty years ago. It is difficult to find words adequate to express my gratitude for the blessings and healings we have experienced through reliance on this wonderful religion discovered and founded by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. For her consecrated life, her writings, and for all that Christian Science is doing for mankind, I am deeply grateful.

Christian Science was of inestimable value in gaining a right perspective regarding our son when he entered the armed forces. The fact that he would be taken from college after completing only one year's work necessitated much prayerful thought on our part. We needed to realize that there could be no interruption of right activity, because wherever our son went and whatever work he did, he was about his Father's business, expressing the qualities of sonship. My husband and I learned to "loose him and let him go" (John 11:44), knowing that there could be no separation between God's ideas, and also that the qualities which we had always loved in this son were forever expressed and therefore were always with us.

I want to say how much inspiration the ninety-first Psalm has been to us and to our son. He is a gunner, and we were able to see God as his fortress and defense, for the Bible says (Acts 17:28), "In him we live, and move, and have our being."
