The promise in the Bible quotation (Joel 2:25), "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten." has been fulfilled in my restoration to health through Christian Science. As a child I was ill most of the time and spent many months in bed. Later, in my early married life, it was necessary to leave our small daughter with my mother, because I was unable to care for her. At that time I was suffering from chronic bronchitis, extreme nervousness, fatigue, and indigestion.

During this trying time my husband engaged board for us in the suburbs, hoping that release from physical duties would help me. A woman who was a Christian Scientist, living in the same home, recommended that I go to see a practitioner. I was at that time desperate and ready to do anything which I thought would help, for medicine no longer helped me. Upon visiting the practitioner I was instantaneously healed of the bronchial cough. The healing has been permanent over a period of twenty-five years.

We were so overjoyed at my improvement that I borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, discarded all medicine, and continued the study of Christian Science. Later, one by one the other difficulties disappeared. Since then there have been many other healings in our happily established family—healings of colds, headaches, ivy poisoning, rheumatic fever, and grippe. Recently I have been healed of poor circulation and constipation.
