No Mother's Tears
"Dear
Christ, forever here and near.
No cradle song,
No natal hour and mother's tear,
To thee belong."
If a mother's tears belong not to the Christ, then there can be no person or circumstance that should ever suffer or occasion a mother's grief, for, as Paul says, "Christ is all, and in all." Of the innumerable angel messages from God revealed to us by our beloved Leader, perhaps none is more appealing today than the one just quoted. In a war-torn world where, to the human heart, losses seem heavy to bear, the groundlessness of grief is seldom perceived save by those who have gained some understanding of the forever presence of the Christ, who "is all, and in all" as God's complete manifestation, in whose immortality all of us are eternally held.
