Through the ministry of Christian Science...

Through the ministry of Christian Science I have had many healings. I should like to mention a few, to give encouragement to others who may be battling with similar troubles. My first healing in Christian Science was of what the medical profession calls an incurable growth. I had been suffering for a long while and one day I walked into a Christian Science Reading Room and sat down to read. Great peace spread over me as I read. Before leaving the Reading Room, I borrowed the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and asked how I could get in touch with a practitioner. I had a few interviews with the practitioner, and was advised to attend the Sunday morning service at a Christian Science church.

I shall never forget my first visit. There was an atmosphere of love and peace surrounding me. When I rose to join in the singing of the hymn, I distinctly heard a voice saying, "This is the way, walk ye in it." I knew that at last I had found the true path. Then and there I received my first healing: I was free from all suffering and pain. Another healing, which took about a fornight, was that of a hemorrhage. Several years later I suffered severe pain in my legs, and I could hardly walk. I called on a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and in a very short time I received relief, and this trouble also disappeared.

I am profoundly grateful to God, not only for the physical healings, but also for the harmony that now reigns in my home. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, as well as for the joy and privilege of serving the Cause. Finally I wish to express gratitude to and affection for our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Ada F. Gunner, Croydon, Surrey, England.
