The dedication of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Bloemfontein, took place at a special service on Sunday, March 12, 1944.

It was in November, 1925, that a group of Christian Scientists in Bloemfontein was acknowledged as a Christian Science Society by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
