Christian Science came to me at a time when I was beseeching God to help me prepare well for that which I felt would be my lifework —teaching school. I glimpsed then, and have seen more clearly since, the opportunities that such work provides to fulfill Jesus' purpose in life, which was to help men live "more abundantly." I know that God alone could give me the strength and understanding which I needed to do all that I saw had to be done.

Christian Science has enabled me to help many little children live "more abundantly," and I am humbly grateful. Often when temporarily I seemed to strike a stone wall of obstruction when handling children who needed special attention, I simply asked God to show me what to do. And He always did show me. New methods of procedure came to my thought, or I gained inspiration and fresh interest, or love and patience, all of which brought joy and growth to the children as well as to me.

With God providing all the love I felt and still feel for the little ones entrusted to my care, my interest in them has never stopped, and I joy in their progress.
