Until Christian Science came into my life I never really lived. My husband passed on, leaving me with seven sons to rear, the oldest fourteen and the youngest not two years of age. About the time of my husband's passing on I too became ill, and the doctors gave me but a short time to live.

I knew about Christian Science, and knew that it healed, so a practitioner was called. My healing was quickly accomplished, and this healing caused me to desire a much better knowledge and understanding of the subject. I immediately began attending the church services regularly, and very soon thereafter my children were entered in the Christian Science Sunday School. They were delighted with it.

There have been many physical healings in our family, including those of scarlet fever, poisoning, and injuries to my hand from a clothes wringer; financial problems have been solved, and many faults of character and disposition have been overcome.
