That the application of Christian Science heals all manner of disease, is a fact to which many people are testifying daily. I consider it a privilege to tell a few of the many instances in which this Science has been a help to me, and I hope that the following brief accounts may be the means of leading others to learn the value of the truth as explained in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

Over twenty years ago, the Christian Science textbook was handed to me by an acquaintance, who is a Christian Scientist, with the statement, "Read this book and it will heal you." I did not read it with any idea of its healing me, but I was so impressed with what I read that I immediately began to put its teachings into practice, with the result that my whole outlook on life was completely changed. I had suffered since childhood from violent headaches, which would sometimes last for two weeks, and many times, in a slow, dull way, for as long as a month. I also suffered from asthma, hay fever, worrying, and a very hasty temper, and the family physician had warned me against a third attack of appendicitis, which I greatly feared. All these conditions were entirely healed. I have never required or taken medicine since I began reading the textbook. In addition to this, my husband was healed of the liquor habit, and we are rejoicing daily with heartfelt gratitude for the freedom that has come and is still coming to our home.

No one who has caught a glimpse of the significance of Christian Science can be unmindful of the great work of its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, for it is only through her teaching, and her interpretation of the Bible and of Christ Jesus' works, that we are able to experience the great blessings it brings. The Comforter has indeed come to many hearts through Mrs. Eddy's devoted labors, and I am most humbly grateful for this blessed truth, which lightens the darkest path and hour, if we really want it.
