Redemption by Science

All four of the Gospels and one of Paul's epistles record that Jesus spoke of his blood. Paul mentioned this subject again, as is shown by Acts and by two other epistles. John referred to it again in his first epistle and in Revelation. Peter spoke of it briefly. And the author of the epistle to the Hebrews, in the course of his elaborate contrast between Judaism and Christianity, discussed at length the blood of Christ or Jesus.

See Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19, 20; John 6:53-58; Acts 20:17, 28; Romans 5:6-11; I Corinthians 11:23-25; Ephesians 2:11-13; Hebrews 9:13-15; I Peter 1:18, 19; I John 1:5-7; Revelation 5:9, 10.

These twelve citations, which do not include everything in the New Testament on the blood of Jesus, show that this topic had an important position in the teaching of the Master and his immediate followers. Therefore, it is one that deserves to be studied and understood by all Christians. Naturally, the primary sources for this study are the Old and New Testaments, not the doctrines, nor even the interpretations, which entered into the creed-making of later times.
