In your issue of April 11 a communication made erroneous references and inferences regarding Christian Science, and assumed mistakenly that Christian Science is like a particular philosophy. However, since the communication is not correct in its presentation of the teachings of Christian Science, it is manifest that the conclusion reached cannot be correct.
Christian Science accepts without reservation the fact that God is divine Love, and that the Supreme Being is the one infinite incorporeal Person or individuality.
Christian Science teaches that mortals will enjoy salvation through utilizing a correct understanding of God, Christ Jesus, and man, and that the complete salvation of mankind includes the destruction not only of sin, but also sickness and death. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 497) Mary Baker Eddy says, "We acknowledge Jesus' atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding man's unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death."
