New Year's Day ought to be the happiest day in the year. To-day we begin a new milestone in life. Hope and ambition prevail over fears. There is a feeling, almost universal, that a New Year holds out the promise of something better. Therefore, we face life with a renewed zest, with more confidence in ourselves and in the promise of the future.
