I sincerely hope that the testimony of the demonstration of ever present divine power which I here give may be an encouragement to all who are seeking the truth.

In whatever seeming physical or material difficulties, may we know that God has the key to our problem. May we trust ourselves to Him; may we have unshaken faith in Him, and we shall surely have our reward.

In 1921 I had to submit to an operation on the breast; and although I believed myself entirely healed, a year later the disease manifested itself again, and this time more severely than before. The surgeon warned me of the danger which threatened me, and urged me to have a second operation as soon as possible. This prospect so frightened my family and me that, in view of our dismay and discouragement, one of my relatives brought me the encouragement of Christian Science. I therefore bought the Bible, also "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. From the first these books seemed splendid to me, and for six months I tried each day to instruct myself in their contents; but my condition did not improve, and I asked help from a practitioner.
