I am thankful to-day to be able to testify to the healing...

I am thankful to-day to be able to testify to the healing in Christian Science of sin and disease. It came to me when all seemed dark and dreary, and has brought "the peace of God," which, the Bible tells us, "passeth all understanding." I am thankful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. It is a pleasure to testify that her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," is indeed a "key" to the truths contained in the Bible, and that we can accept God's promises by studying Science and Health in connection with the Bible.

With the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner my little girl was healed of a severe dog bite which, I am sure, would have been the cause of her losing the sense of hearing in one ear,—as the eardrum had seemed to be injured,—if it had not been healed through the application of the truth as taught in Christian Science. The ear was healed in about two weeks. We have had many wonderful healings in our home, scarlet fever, measles, whooping cough, and colds, cuts, burns, malaria, nervousness, bad temper, discontentment having been overcome; in fact, I myself had a complication of diseases which one by one have disappeared as I have grown in the understanding of Christian Science through the study of it.

I am grateful for having had class instruction; for membership in The Mother Church, also in a branch church; and I am writing this hoping that it will lead others to know that, as our Leader says on page 225 of Science and Health, "Eternal Truth is changing the universe. As mortals drop off their mental swaddling-clothes, thought expands into expression. 'Let there be light,' is the perpetual demand of Truth and Love, changing chaos into order and discord into the music of the spheres."
