Every day I am more and more grateful to God for Christian Science
Every day I am more and more grateful to God for Christian Science. I should like to tell of a beautiful healing that I had in the fall of 1923.
I fell one day nearly the whole distance of a long flight of stairs, striking my head on the marble floor. I instantly declared the truth that I was not hurt, realizing that the idea of God cannot be hurt or injured. Two men came to my assistance, both of whom were Christian Scientists, and one of them voiced the truth for me, that God's idea could not be hurt. On getting up, I found that I could stand on only one foot, the ankle of the other foot seeming to be badly sprained. I also seemed to have a good many bruises. I did my work mentally, as we are taught in Christian Science, and in a short time I was able to walk out for my lunch. There I met a practitioner, who lovingly gave me help. I was then able to walk back to a meeting that I had to attend, where I sat the entire afternoon with very little pain. The next day the swelling in the ankle was not entirely gone, but I could do all that was necessary in my home. In a comparatively short time I was completely healed.
This is but one more proof that God is good, and "a very present help in trouble." I am grateful to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for this new-old truth which she has brought to this age, and grateful also to our Way-shower, Jesus of Nazareth.
