It is with a heart filled to overflowing with gratitude that I send my testimony of what Christian Science has done for me. Fourteen years ago I experienced my first healing, when I was enabled to discontinue the use of glasses, after having worn them constantly for over four years. The verdict from eye specialists had been that I would always have to wear them. That was just the beginning. As I look back over these fourteen years of progress, I feel to-day that, although I have experienced many healings from physical disorders,—such as chronic indigestion, biliousness, malarial fever, influenza, severe cases of tonsillitis,—the greatest healing of all is that from faults of disposition, in the place of which have come such a wonderful love of all mankind and, better still, a great love for God.
To-day, I am so grateful for the knowledge that nothing can separate me from God. I used to feel that I wanted something that could keep me from being separated from loved ones in a human way, and that I would not care so much if I were separated from God, as I then believed Him to be far away anyway; but that I would be utterly alone to be separated from loved persons. Now, I feel the greatest blessing that has come into my life is this wonderful love for God, and the knowledge that I cannot possibly be separated from Him. I am learning more and more each day about the wonderful goodness of God, and what it means to have Him ever present. Oh, that all might know such a God and love Him supremely!
