I became interested in the teachings of Christian Science...
I became interested in the teachings of Christian Science about twelve years ago. I was not looking for physical healing, but wanted to find out what there was in Christian Science to interest men who were so successful in business. I have found out that this success is due to the teachings of Christian Science; to the application in business of the Golden Rule and the Sermon on the Mount; to the understanding that God is available for good at all times and under all circumstances. Christian Science has taught me how to meet seemingly adverse conditions with the knowledge that God, Truth, is omnipotent and that right will prevail. In the twelve years of my study of Christian Science I have learned, in some degree, how to be patient and wait for the unfolding of God's will. During this time I have been healed of malarial fever, as well as the lesser complaints to which I have been subject. Just recently the desire for tobacco disappeared. I am thankful to Mrs. Eddy, and to those kind friends whose help has always been so cheerfully given.
Edward C. Pfeffer, Dallas, Tex.
It is with the deepest sense of love and gratitude to God for all the blessings received through Christian Science that I offer my testimony, hoping it may be as helpful to some one as the testimonies of others have always been to me. Christian Science is the greatest thing that can come into our lives; for it not only brings healing to those who are in need of it, but brings so much happiness and joy as we begin to know God better than we have ever known Him before. The whole world needs Christian Science; for the world needs love, and Christian Science is essentially a religion of love. It awakens in us a deeper love for God, for man, for everything; and with that deeper sense of love comes healing.
