Since I began the study of Christian Science I have had many healings, and discord has been replaced by harmony and happiness, for which words fail to express my gratitude. I had suffered for many years from indigestion, catarrh of the head, a cough, and headaches, and when none of these conditions were healed I became very discouraged with material medicine. I was healed of indigestion in one Christian Science treatment, but it was some time before catarrh was entirely healed, although I was greatly relieved from the first, and at times would seem almost free from it. The cough disappeared without any special treatment. I had suffered from headaches since childhood, hardly a month passing that I was not confined to bed from two to three days. I had become more or less reconciled to these conditions as I had suffered from them for so many years, although I was constantly seeking relief. With the loving help of practitioners and through my own study these and many other ills have been entirely healed.

I was very badly injured in an automobile accident. A practitioner was called over long distance telephone and asked to give absent treatment. In a very short time the pain was relieved and I slept through the night. For three days I was in a helpless condition, but by the end of the week I was able to dress, and with help walked to the station a short distance away. About six months later a discordant physical condition arose, and I was prevailed upon to have a medical examination. I was told that owing to an injury of some kind I would have to be operated upon before I could ever be well. Instead I went to a Christian Science practitioner and was instantaneously healed. Not only did I experience physical healing, but mental regeneration also, which has made me more loving and patient and less critical and has brought much happiness and contentment into my life. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy truly gave us a "Key to the Scriptures." I had never read much of the Bible because I could not understand it, but since studying Christian Science I have read it through consecutively with much interest and profit. I am most grateful to Mary Baker Eddy, whose unselfish labor enabled her to reveal the truth in such a way that we can understand it; also for the periodicals and the Lesson-Sermons, which were provided for us through her consecration to Principle.
