Words cannot express how very grateful I am to our beloved...

Words cannot express how very grateful I am to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for giving to all mankind this beautiful truth which we can apply to every problem in our daily living. I am so grateful for each testimony I have read in our periodicals or have heard in our Wednesday evening meetings. When I first became interested in Christian Science the testimonies were very helpful to me. I read diligently and am indeed grateful for some understanding of God as Principle and Truth, which is daily becoming clearer.

I want to relate a healing for which I am very grateful. One year ago I came down with a physical illness. I prayed for strength and arose from my bed and called over the telephone for help, which was lovingly given. This was Wednesday and I did so want to attend the testimony meeting, and felt I must do my part. I prayed for guidance and took up "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which opened to page 401. At first I was not able to read one word, but obedience is an idea of God, and God's image and likeness reflects all good. This is the message that brought the healing: "What I term chemicalization is the upheaval produced when immortal Truth is destroying erroneous mortal belief. Mental chemicalization brings sin and sickness to the surface, forcing impurities to pass away, as is the case with a fermenting fluid." I had canceled my literature and the thought came so clearly: I want this literature, as the same infinite Mind, God, good, which gives us all good is changeless. I said to the practitioner, "I am healed, but I want the literature." I was told to re-order it. This passage from the Bible came to me: "It shall come to pass before they call I will answer, and while they are yet speaking I will hear." Some literature came to me before my letter reached Boston. I am indeed grateful to the Giver of all good.
