Christian Science has been of untold help to us in all of our personal problems. Circumstances have taken us to many out of the way places where there has been little or no understanding of Christian Science; often the thought has been bitterly antagonistic. Persistent dependence on Principle has shown us the way to solve each problem as it arose. In our family the sense of limitation, the use of tobacco, inflamed eyes, a catarrhal growth, a bone felon, carbuncles and boils, rheumatism, measles, mumps, and chicken pox have all, in turn, been overcome through the knowledge that God does not afflict His children, and that if a thing comes not from God it has no foundation in fact, hence really does not exist. For all of these more intimate answers we are most grateful, but even more thankful are we for the times when an impersonal healing has come through the knowledge and understanding of one infinite, divine, loving Principle, knowing nothing but good and consequently responsible for nothing else.

On page 276 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read : "The realization that all inharmony is unreal brings objects and thoughts into human view in their true light, and presents them as beautiful and immortal. Harmony in man is as real and immortal as in music. Discord is unreal and mortal." As a family we wish to express our appreciation for the Christian Science periodicals which Mrs. Eddy in her wonderful wisdom established for the advancement and help of all Christian Scientists.
