As I do not have the opportunity of acknowledging my gratitude for Christian Science publicly, I am glad of the privilege of sending my testimony to the Sentinel, so that others may know how grateful I am. In the two years' study I have had of Christian Science, my life has been almost completely changed. Whereas I once feared God as a God of wrath, who would inflict punishment for every little thing we might do that did not please Him, I have come to think of Him as a God of mercy, love, wisdom, and justice, and that He will tenderly care for us and help us over the rough and stony places. Our second child, now a year old, has never known sickness, with the exception of a few hours one morning, when, thanks to the great Physician, I knew where to go for help, and she was quickly healed.

To Mrs. Eddy I am extremely grateful for her patience and work in giving to us this saving truth. I am grateful indeed for the literature, as I find it such a help and strength in my daily life. Words cannot express my thankfulness to God; and I earnestly desire to live such a life that I may be worthy of the name Christian Scientist.
