Some forty years ago Mrs. Eddy established the Christian Science movement, which has steadily increased in its influence and power notwithstanding the violent attacks that have been made upon it. Christian Science is founded upon a divine basis; it adheres faithfully to the command, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," and through demonstration its followers prove that God is omnipotent, omnipresent Life and Love, and that man created in His image and likeness is not subject to the evils of human belief.

Jesus proved by his works that the Christ had come, and he said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." Through the teachings of Christian Science the human concept of existence gives place to the true, and in the degree mankind understands the spiritual facts of being, possessing the Mind that was in Christ Jesus, he is able to free himself from the evils of the flesh. The Scriptures declare, "Faith without works is dead."
