In gratitude to God, and in the sincere hope that this may help others, I send my testimony. Some time ago I had occasion to clean the inside of a sewing machine, which was of copper. It was covered with verdigris, and I got this all over my hands. I was not feeling very well then, and before night I was very ill, and decided to send for a Christian Science practitioner. I did so, but my daughter and husband insisted on calling a doctor, so I had to yield to them. By the third day my hands presented a dreadful appearance, and I suffered greatly. The doctor told me what to use, and said I should be careful to follow directions, but I replied that I should continue to trust God and that He would heal me. He then said, "Woman, have you no sense, old as you are?" But I replied that Christian Science can and does heal, and that I would prove that it does. He said, "You will surely die." I then sent for a Christian Science practitioner, and in a few days was healed of the poisoning, and also of an acute lung trouble which had developed. I trusted God through it all, and am very grateful for what was done for me. I hope that some day I shall be able to do for others what has been done for me in the truth.
