For over two years I suffered intensely with hemorrhoids, the pain often being so severe that I was compelled to lie in bed for days at a time; but I have been perfectly healed by treatment in Christian Science. This healing took place at a time when a physician of high standing, who had been attending me, said that there was absolutely no relief for me unless I went into a hospital and had an operation. I went instead to a Christian Science practitioner, and in two or three treatments I was healed. Some time later, the disease agian presented itself, but I had grown so in the understanding of the nothingness of error that I was able to handle the problem myself without even mentioning the attack to any one. That was quite a while ago, and I feel that all fear of the ailment is now entirely obliterated from my consciousness; nevertheless I am grateful for the opportunity thus afforded me of knowing the truth for myself. The healing occurred in 1911, and there has not been the slightest return of the trouble.

I become more and more interested in Christian Science each day. The journey out of mortal sense is being lighted by the daily study of the Bible, with its spiritual interpretation as given through Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I have placed my three and a half year old son in a Christian Science Sunday school, and hope soon to become a member of this church. I may add that this little boy had seemed to be quite seriously ill for more than a week, the attack being a heavy cold, with its accompanying ill effects. I called upon a practitioner, who talked to me a little while and said that he would treat the child. When I reached home that night (I am engaged in an office during the day), the little fellow had eaten heartily during the day and was running around at his play. He has been in better health ever since this healing than he was before the illness, although his general health has usually been good.

I would add that the physical relief I have experienced is not to be compared with the spiritual uplift that has come to me through Christian Science, for all of which I am deeply grateful.—Mrs. Lida H. Spence, South Berkeley, Cal.
