The query, "Where are the nine?" might well be addressed to me if I failed to testify to the benefits I have received through Christian Science. In January, 1905, I applied to a practitioner for treatment. I was then, in belief, very ill, and suffering greatly from nervous exhaustion, also from stomach trouble, catarrh, and various other ills. Sleeplessness was overcome in one treatment, and after ten days I was able to discard glasses, which I had worn for seven years, and which I have not felt the need of since. One by one the other ailments vanished, until at the end of three weeks I was perfectly well; but I did not realize this at the time, so I continued the treatment for another week.

The practitioner loaned me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which I studied faithfully, but I had little or on understanding of this blessed truth at that time, and depended upon the efforts of the practitioner. Previously I had had the best of care, my father being a druggist and my brother a successful practising physician, and I had taken a large amount of medicine; but nothing seemed to relieve me, so it can be imagined how happy I was when I found I could be well without taking medicine.

I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way to God, divine Truth, and my daily prayer is that I may become more worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.
