It is with deep gratitude to God that I relate something of what has come to me and my family through Christian Science. In March, 1909, I was suddenly taken with a very severe attack of lung trouble. We had been in Science then about a year and a half, and this was the first time we had to meet what seemed a severe illness. After I had suffered distressing pain and had violent coughing all night and a half day, I was convinced that my efforts were not giving me relief, so I called for a Christian Science practitioner, who treated me at once. I was so relieved by the treatment that I could listen while she talked to me of God's love for His children and of His ever-present help in time of need. She left me with these beautiful thoughts and I had a very good night's rest.

My healing was not as quick as in some cases, as there was a good deal of fear to meet, but I gained both physically and spiritually every day. We have also had many other beautiful cases of healing in our family; through Christian Science, and for all these, as also for the spiritual uplift which I have had, I am deeply grateful to God. I am also very grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for this blessed truth, which reaches suffering humanity and all who are seeking for the truth.
