Although I have been enabled to overcome many ills through Christian Science, and have felt the joy and peace which come from a faithful study of it, I recently became worried and unhappy, in fact the clouds of error seemed to shut out the light of Truth. In that mental condition I became seriously ill with a throat trouble. From Saturday night until Thursday morning I tried to break the cruel dream myself, but when I could not swallow even liquids, and the pain was great, the fever high, my sister telephoned to a practitioner for help. In a short time the fever left my body cool and normal, and a sweet sense of hope and peace came to me. As I realized God's great and tender love for me, suddenly the pain ceased and the swelling passed into the realm of nothingness from whence it came. In just a few minutes the entire manifestation was eliminated from my consciousness, and it seemed that heaven had truly come down to earth.

This experience has meant much to me, as it has made me more watchful of my thought and proved again the efficacy of Christian Science, the Christ-method of healing disease. I love God better than I ever did. I am also thankful to and feel the greatest reverence for dear Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader.
