Syracuse (N. Y.) Journal

Eugene R. Cox of the Christian Science committee on publication takes exception to the telegraphed statement of Dr. Hollander of London to the effect that Christian Science is responsible for a large amount of insanity. Quoted in denial is an interview with Dr. Albert Warren Ferris, until last Sunday the president of the New York state commission in lunacy, in which he said he had never found a case of insanity in this state that could be attributed to Christian Science. He said further: "The few cases where we have found Christian Science in connection with forms of insanity have been those where the patient took up Christian Science after insanity had come upon him."
