I did not become interested in Christian Science through...

I did not become interested in Christian Science through any physical healing, but about four years ago I heard of the Wednesday evening meetings, and was induced to attend one of them. I immediately became interested, for previous to this time religion had very little to commend it to me. I was brought up in the Jewish faith, but witnessing the little interest that the Jews paid to their Sabbath. I was led to believe that it was only necessary to go to the temple about twice a year and feel that I had done my duty. The earnest attention manifested, and the class of people I met at that first meeting in one of the Christian Science churches of Chicago, interested me deeply, and I am happy to say the teachings of the New Testament, as well as of the Old, and Mrs. Eddy's Science and Health, have now become essential to my life. When great sorrow came to me, it was the comfort I found in reading these books that helped me through my grief, and with the understanding thus gained I have been able to overcome a severe attack of rheumatism, and also a terrible burn on my shoulder, which was healed in a few days.

Christian Science has also changed my disposition. I now have a greater and deeper love for all my fellow-beings, and for these and many other things I am most thankful to God, also that He has given to our dear Leader the wisdom to teach us this saving truth.
