In a recent conversation with a lady, I was asked, "What do you get out of your Christian Science?" I replied, "Why, everything."
During the first year of our little son's life, we paid doctors anywhere from forty to sixty dollars every six or eight weeks.
We obeyed every law of hygiene, watched closely every symptom, and at times I have cried in despair, fearing he would not live. dreaded to go to bed at night, lest I should need the physician before morning. Now my heart overflows with gratitude because through that wonderful book, Science and Health, I have come to understand that the Great Physician—the True Physician—is omnipresent and omnipotent, and that "Every law of matter or the body, supposed to govern man, is rendered null and void by the law of God" (Science and Health, p. 380).
This is only a little of what I am getting from Christian Science.—ETHEL LAVON PECK, Chicago, III.
