Divine Love is the Good Shepherd
What a great blessing is ours, when we come to the realization that divine Love (God) is leading. To know that we can trust all to the divine Mind, to feel the blessed assurance that in Him (God) we live, and move, and have our being. He is ever with us, watching over us, and if we put our entire trust in Him we shall learn that His is the right and the true way, leading us into paths of glory hitherto unknown.
In proportion as one trusts in God, one loses the sense of error, and the false illusions of hate, pride, self-justification, and self-love begin to disappear before the sunlight of Truth; a light so brilliant that it permeates and purifies the whole being, standing forth a shining light of Truth before the world. Thus is fulfilled the Scriptural passage, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Let us, then, be soldiers in the army of God, reflecting that sublime love,—patient, kind, meek, long-suffering,—which brings joy and peace to mankind,—a love so sweet and gentle that it makes us, in its blessed humility, love all God's children, not only those who love us, but those who do not seem to love us. There is our work, truly to love those who would seem to be enemies, to see the true child of God, and then the work will be easy. This is what will lift up humanity and advance what we are working for.
It was through divine Mind (God) that Jesus performed such wonderful cures centuries ago. He declared, "My Father worketh hitherto, and I work." Constantly trusting in divine Love, Jesus was enabled to perform many wonders and finally to triumph over death.
