"Some Heretical Nobles."
The Boston Transcript republishes from the London Daily Mail an article bearing the above title, which contains some suggestive items. By way of preliminary suggestion the Mail says:—
"To be pronouncedly unconventional in religious convictions is an ordeal that few people—even those moving in humble social circles—have the courage to face. How much more difficult, then, must it be for well-known and highly placed personages to publicly effect striking departures from the orthodox. Yet the British peerage contains several examples of an unflinching adhesion to religions that no doubt entail many sacrifices socially on the distinguished followers of those beliefs."
As to the religious belief of Lady Sarah Sladen the Mail says:—
