Obedience to Spirit
There have been a number of articles in the Sentinel on obedience, all of them very helpful, and still the meanings unfold until "obedience" seems the most important word in our vocabulary.
Studying the Bible in Sunday School and home from childhood, we learn the letter of the Mosaic law and strive to abide by the "Thou shalt nots." In the New Testament we read of the "law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus," and in the light of Christian Science we realize what obedience to this law of Spirit brings us,—nothing less than freedom "from the law of sin and death."
Obedient to the law of Spirit we shall find health and happiness. Governed by Spirit we are no longer under bondage to the flesh to fulfil the lusts thereof. With omnipotent Love as the Law-giver we, as obedient children, must show forth the effect of obedience to that law in the physical realm, as well as in the destruction of sin.
