An Active Railroad Man

An active railroad man testified at the same meeting as follows:—

The growth of interest in Christian Science among hard, level-headed business men is becoming noticeable. There was a gathering in this city last week of railroad men from all over the country. I have attended these meetings a number of times, but I had never heard Christian Science mentioned in them until last week. I found several members interested in Christian Science and they were glad to get off and talk Science.

I want to tell the experience of one of these members. He had a disease called locomotor ataxia. Another railroad man advised him to try Christian Science. The patient agreed to visit a practitioner, but said, "If this Scientist tells me that nothing is the matter with me, I will tell you that it is all bosh." He called on the Scientist and told her his tale of woe, and she gave him a treatment. The patient said afterward, "This is too easy; it cannot be right. She did not ask me to give up anything." He was healed in eight treatments, and is perfectly well. The smoking, chewing, and drinking habits also left him, and he discarded his glasses, which he had worn for fifteen years, and has not used them since.
