Eye on the world: The source of happiness
In “World Happiness Report: What makes some countries happier than others?” The Christian Science Monitor reports on the results of the UN’s World Happiness Report Update 2016, in which “a group of largely western, European countries” came out on top. The article cites some observations by the report’s co-editor: “ ‘Measuring self-reported happiness and achieving well-being should be on every nation’s agenda … Rather than taking a narrow approach focused solely on economic growth, we should promote societies that are prosperous, just, and environmentally sustainable.’ ”
