Eye on the world: Honesty is natural—even on Wall Street

In an article titled “Whistle while you work: Wall Street’s culture of fingering fraudThe Christian Science Monitor notes that the success of a new federal program rewarding whistle-blowers in the financial industry has revealed “a hidden culture of extreme honesty in the industry…. one now more accepting of workers who speak up.” Furthermore, observes the Monitor, a whistle-blower often “does not act to get a reward but acts simply because a company has developed a culture of honesty.”
