In an editorial titled “Protecting the purity of the Olympics,” The Christian Science Monitor commends the International Olympic Committee’s efforts to combat “the corrupting influence of sports betting worldwide,” such as cheating and sports fixing, observing, “Talent and teamwork should remain the purpose of any sport.”
