Formed

Bobby Lewis

In the beginning
formed by Spirit
there was light
the spiritual image
all good

Then a mist
of confusion
of good and evil
the belief
of being deformed
in matter
separate
in anguish
afraid

But that’s
not the real
creation narrative
No, no, no
we are not left
to wallow
in that lie
of separateness

Messianic revelation
illumines us as
born anew
in the pure
healing waters
of Christ, Truth
entirely inseparable
from God, good
painless
fearless
made new
by divine Love
moment by moment.
