Worried about flu? Illness is not inevitable

Kittie Burris, C.S.B.

Among other things, Kittie answers questions about site visitors’ fear of picking up sickness from others or of “giving” a sickness to a friend or co-worker. She offers thoughts about how to pray for one’s community and also how to deal with “winter blues.” She explains how to turn away from thoughts that may lead us to accept disease. Besides fear, these include apathy, negativity, and acceptance of sickness; also the feeling that because “everybody has it,” we need to be sick too. Kittie states that we live in “the atmosphere of Love divine” and that as we get clear about this and understand our spirituality as God’s children, we will be exempt from disease.
