Don’t be fooled 

If you’ve ever been to the desert, you may have seen what looks like water on the ground in the distance—even though there isn’t any water there.
This college student was already overwhelmed when she suddenly learned she’d have to prepare for an extra exam. How was she ever going to get it all done? God had a surprising answer for her.
Christian Science was helping me rule out the bad thoughts and giving me good ones.

Helping a suicidal friend 

She was desperate to help a friend who wanted to take his own life. But her friend wasn’t interested in God or Christian Science. What could she do? This teen prayed—and found answers.
This past summer I went to a two-week sleep-away camp all by myself for the first time.
During a strenuous hike with a college group, this author doubted her ability to make it up the mountain. But rather than getting stuck in self-doubt and negativity, she decided to see what would happen if she turned her focus to God.

The shaking stopped 

I sat down to pray for complete healing.
I first learned about God in the Christian Science Sunday School.
It became effortless to talk with people, because nothing was holding me back anymore.
Drinking was a big part of her social life, but when this writer discovered a deeper form of happiness than she’d ever found while drinking, she decided she might even be willing to give up alcohol. But how would her friends react?

Trying to get a job? 

His prospects for getting a job as an inexperienced college freshman seemed … nonexistent. So it came as a surprise when he felt an insistent nudge from God leading him to go talk to a potential employer.
This author was swirling in confusion and distress over a relationship problem. But when she asked God for help with fixing it, she got a surprising answer.
