I am one who touched you, Lord.

ALONE?

Until I had been aloneIn a land distantFrom family and friends,Surrounded by the insidious and persistentSense testimony ofViolence and hate and fear,And there had felt the presenceOf the supporting thought and prayerOf those who know and love me,So clearlyPresentI nearlyHeard the comforting word—I had not graspedThe omnipresence of Love.
