MY PRAYER

The things I have knownas the mother of three!The things I have done—Shot a gun, flown a plane,Made a dive with a sub, designed a house,Been so high up a mountain, on a horse,I had to get off and walk;Driven an ambulance, marched in a parade,Been special guest of VIP's,Been to parties,I had lots of fun.

THE GATE CALLED BEAUTIFUL

Today the sentinels are unawareAt the gate called Beautiful a host is heedingThe ancient dialogue left on the air—Peter's response, at the gate, to the lame man's pleading:"Silver and gold have I none; but such as I haveGive I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of NazarethRise up and walk.

Courage, Brother! If earth be shakenThus will sleeping minds awaken.

REFLECTED LIGHT

A taper, though unseen by day,At night will radiateIts beams through earth's nocturnal mistAs stars illuminate.

GOD IS
