In the Christian Science Sentinel of January 9, 1932, in this column, reference was made to the literature on view in the display window of The Mother Church Reading Room now located at 206 Massachusetts Avenue.
At the Wednesday evening meeting in The Mother Church on October 21, the First Reader announced from the desk that in order that the local congregation of The Mother Church might have opportunity to contribute to the building of the new Publishing House, The Christian Science Board of Directors had decided to turn the collections on the third Sunday of each month over to the Church Treasurer to be added to the Publishing House Building Fund, and that this practice would be continued until the contributions from all sources are sufficient to meet the entire cost of the new building.
Rumors current in certain sections of the Field to the effect that a large proportion of the building fund for the new Publishing House has already been contributed and is in the hands of the Treasurer of The Mother Church are without foundation.
The By-Law, Article III, Section 6, of The Mother Church Manual, entitled, "Readers in Branch Churches," specifies that those who conduct the church services "shall read all notices and remarks that may be printed in the Christian Science Quarterly".
The Revised Recommendations of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, which will be sent soon to all branch churches, call attention to the fact that lectures on Christian Science are given for all.
