The Clerk of The Mother Church is now preparing for action by The Christian Science Board of Directors the applications for membership in The Mother Church which have been sent him for the semiannual admission in November.
The
much-trenched Norway Street is now receiving perhaps its final trenching in connection with the building of the new Publishing House; it is being prepared to receive the new steam line connecting with the Edison Company's main line from their Kneeland Street plant; also the new conduit for electrical current to the substation located in the basement of the new Publishing House, where the hightension voltage of 13,800 will be reduced to usable voltage.
Of late varying accounts of a somewhat spectacular nature, setting forth a healing effected through Christian Science, have been given as testimonies at Wednesday evening meetings in The Mother Church and in branch churches in this country and abroad.
"One man working alone cannot do it, but all working together can," is a reminder which fronts one mounting the temporary wooden stairs to the upper floor in Section "B" of the new Publishing House.
Let the layman ask a building expert for the latest information about the new Publishing House and he may be told that all is going well, but that the processes are the same as those already described in these columns.
